I have been working hard on everyone’s sessions and I hope when your session comes out completed that you’re so happy with the results. I would have to say that the Bluebonnet season is over, it was short and quick. The patch where I met everyone has been trampled and ruined by everyone else in Temple finding out about it. All I can say is that when you take your own bluebonnet photos, don’t step on the flowers or even worse, drive right through them! If you do as I, and hopefully others, did by only stepping in bare spots or already worn down spots, it helps the patches last longer. But alas, such is the season of Bluebonnets. I can’t wait to try out doing Kansas wild mustard field sessions.
Kansas? Did I say Kansas? Yes, that’s right, my husband and I are moving to Olathe, Kansas (suburb of Kansas City) at the end of JUNE for my husband’s chiropractic schooling. We’ll be there for atleast 4 years and then when he’s finished, we’ll see where the wind takes us. I do want to come back to Temple atleast in the fall of each year to do Christmas card photo sessions for my clients here. This year I plan on being back the week of October 1st to 7th and will be holding mini-sessions on October 2nd and 3rd. More info to come soon. I will be emailing out information to my client list here soon. This also means that if you want to get spring photos of your family, you need to book a date with my AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Space is limited and time running out.
Here are a few recent photos from some various sessions I have done over the last couple weeks. Much more to come. Please bare with me as I juggle my regular day time job, session processing, and taking care of the many things that come with moving. One of which is having to find homes for our beloved dogs as Kansas City has an absurd ban on pitbulls, of which one of our dogs is a purebred brindle (big baby!) and the other is a mix. We found out about the ban AFTER my husband was accepted. We have had Kota since the day we got married (nearly 4 years) and Duke for two years, so they are our babies. I refuse to put them in a shelter and in finding them each a new home I’m requiring references, experience with strong breeds, and a transitional adoption for the mental health and stability of the dogs. If you know of anyone who wants the most loving dog ever, please email me.
And onto the photos! This first set is from Easter sessions in Salado about a month back:

This next set is from my first time venturing into a studio-style set-up (I’m an outdoor photographer, I’m not afraid to admit I’m trying someting new!) the following weekend:

Well I was planning adding some Bluebonnet sessions on this update….. but I guess you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer as this ol’ girl has to get going. I’ll update some more tomorrow! Lots to show you!!
