Hey everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your summer! I haven’t been on here much lately as you can tell and I wanted to let you know that I have decided to take some time off this summer until the fall, HOWEVER, I am open to doing a few sessions on top of the ones I already have lined up, so if you’re still interested and just can’t wait until the fall when I get ready for the Christmas sessions, please feel free to contact me. I am going to enjoy this summer for all I can and catch up on projects I’ve been putting off for quite a while. So if you don’t see an update on here as often as before, know that I have big plans for this coming fall and can’t wait to show them to you!

I have been a bad blogger lately but please know that I have had a series of unfortunate events go on and have been unable to get to the computer, as I am still in the process of getting back on track from my technical difficulties.

I have found an awesome location to do bluebonnet photos here in Temple! I apologize for the last minute email, but I wanted to confirm I had a location before I booked sessions. To make sure that the location is still in good condition, I am only booking out one week at a time until I find a second back-up location. Sessions are $50 for 20 minutes with 10 professionally retouched high resolution photo files on CD (to be previewed to you in a password protected gallery with 1-3 weeks of session). Prints can be ordered separately from my professional lab. To make the most of the location, I am booking evening sessions this week as well. Here are my time slots, first come first serve, please spread the word, this location is gorgeous! (location to be given once payment received).

Saturday March 28th – Booked

Saturday April 4th – Email me for details.

To reserve your time, please email me back as soon as possible with your name, phone number, and number of people in the photos (max of 5). To confirm your time, payment will need to be submitted in person rather than mailing due to the last minute timing of our sessions. Cash, check, or money order (in a sealed envelope) can be dropped off with my apartment manager during the day or directly with me in the evenings after 7pm. Once payment is received, I’ll email you with a map to our location.

Just a quick update that I’m back online after a week of disconnect and have some serious catching up to do! Thanks for being so patient with me! I am opening up booking for CALGARY sessions in July here this week. Will post an update here with info just as soon as I can. And I have two sessions to show you as well. This weekend’s Easter sessions were rained out, but next Sunday we have a bunch going on so check back often!

I just wanted to take a moment here and update everyone on my current technical situation. My computer at home has been spammed and is at the shop we I write this for an overhaul. They tell us that they will try to have it done by Saturday. Oh I pray! So the only internet access I have right now is while I am work and while I may have time to read email, I don’t always have time to respond. To add insult to injury, my cell phone fell in the dogs’ water dish and dying of a slow painful death. Time for an upgrade to an iPhone I think, but I need to convince the hubby. Let’s hope!

If you need to get in touch with me, just continue email as usual, or if it’s urgent, call my cell phone (you should all have it) and leave a voicemail, because I can still retreive that. When it rains, it pours! And speaking of rain, Easter sessions this weekend will more than likely be rescheduled, but rain brings bluebonnets, which have started to make an appearence!

Happy Valentine’s Day 2009! I hope you had a chance to give you honey a squeeze and a smooch! I have been busy with some going-ons in our lives that are very exciting, a big one being taking my photography business to the next level. I am so very excited with the route that it’s going and I know you will all be thrilled to pieces too! But good things come to those who wait, so stay tuned!

Daniel’s beloved Nana passed away on Monday night and so we are leaving tonight for the long drive to Denver for the funeral. I will be away from the computer and will check my voicemail as possible. Please say a prayer for us on the long drive and with driving into snow! Don’t worry too much, we are packing the gun. (You never know!) Be back Monday, burned out, but back.

So I’ve have five sessions that I am taking turns doing post-production on admist working the typical M-F AND trying to get some holiday cheer going on which is all keeping me quite busy! And as you may be able to tell by the photo below, my post-production has evolved some and I’m SO EXCITED to show you the new stuff!! This sneak peek  is baby Andrew at all of 7 days old that I had the joy of photographing this past weekend. Can’t wait to show you the rest and more of what I have to come! Keeping checking back!

Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I have been a bit busier than average lately and haven’t had a chance to update my blog. My Newborn Casting Call (see FREE SESSIONS under categories) has been so EXCITING. I have 7 local mamas set up, 2 of which I am capturing this weekend! It is always a privilege for me to do newborn sessions because it’s such a special intimate time that is so full of emotion and love. I’m so psyched to show you all the cool photographs we come out with!

I have some so cool things I want to post here on the blog in the next few days, bare with me and you’ll love it too. I hope all of your Christmas planning is coming along smoothly, only 2 weeks left!! Yeek!!!!

Welcome to my corner of the blogging world! It’s still a work in process, I have to admit, I’m not the best blogger but I do aim to do better by posting often! As of this first blog post, my Shutterfly site has has nearly 14,000 hits! THANK YOU! My official website has just launched and I am so excited for what the future holds! I have been into photography since I was kid, it is in my blood! My great grandparents owned and operated a photo studio in the 40s, my grandparents were photographers and my father, my inspiration, had contemplated going pro many times. You can ask my friends, my family, and my husband, that I always have a camera in my hands. I decided to do something with my photography in April of 2008 and here I am just 6 months later launching the start of a prayerfully successful career!

I am always striving to learn more, do more, see more. I see the real life in people. My M-F job has me working in patient administration in a major cancer center and trust me, this is where you see real life. This is a place where you see true raw emotion. My patients that I help, so many inspire me because so many are real life heroes! I see someone, I meet someone, and I wonder what their story is, what their perspective is. And my goal is to capture my client’s spirits and wonder in a way that transcends any words that could describe it!

I am a normal everyday woman. I am a Christian, Canadian, and married to the love of my life, he is my hero and the word LOVE doesn’t possibly describe how I feel about him. I am so blessed! We do not have children yet, but we’ve been trying for a baby for quite some time now (only 2.5 years now, but whose counting…). Prayerfully we will be blessed soon! We have 2 very active dogs who always keep us on our toes. My husband is prior Air Force (I am so proud of him for laying his life down for his country) and studying to be a chiropractor.
