Today is a day for updates! Back in the beginning of December, I had the honor of photographing Charlie & Shay’s wedding. When Daniel and I first moved to Temple and looking for an apartment, Charlie at the time worked for the apartment complex we would move into and immediately we liked him! Shay is a doll and so kind and lovely. Their son, Clayton, is going to be a heartbreaker! Now I’ll admit, I’m not one of the top wedding photographers in the country, in fact I get really nervous doing them because my own wedding photos were all ruined and not one single picture turned out (another story another day) and I don’t want to disappoint anyone, let alone make them mad! So when Charlie told me that both he and Shay loved the photos, I was so relieved! They had a cute little country wedding out in the middle of nowhere at their cowboy church. The weather was gorgeous and the reception was right there in the tent where they did their ceremony. All said and done in 3 hours. Lovely! I’m only going to show a few of my favorites from when I was able to steal them away for 10 minutes to do some photos outside while the sun was going down.

**The very last picture has a texture overlay which at high resolution looks fantastic. However, if the image looks weird at this size, just note that it does have some different processing to it and in no way reflects the quality of the high resolution photograph.

2008 has been such a year full of blessings for me. My photography has just taken off and is soaring to new heights leaving me very excited for 2009. Thank you with all my heart to all my clients for making me feel warm fuzzies for all of you and for letting me sneak a peek into your beautiful lives. Thank you!

If I had to truly pick the highlight of 2008, one event would fit both my professional world and my personal world. My 87 year old Grandpa found love again this year and married his sweet Dorothy on Sept 27th of this year in Oklahoma. It was so incredible to be there to witness Grandpa and Dorothy uniting is such total giddy crazy love. They were like a couple of kids! So I may be biased, but photographing their wedding was my favorite session of 2008. It meant so much to me and to all of those who were there! I put together a little slideshow a little overdue.
